I came across this Diana+ collaboration gallery from Olivia and LadyShadow on flickr, and I just had to share it because it is packed with so much juicy analog goodness that you can almost taste the colors. Here’s how this collaboration happened in Olivia’s own words. Enjoy!
This roll was a long time in the making. Diana sent me the roll about 9 months ago. I went into my refrigerator and I almost forgot about it. I shot it in two days: one day in LA’s Chinatown, and the other day at Disneyland. One thing I’ve always loved about Diana’s photography is her amazing colors and her sense of fun & playfulness.
I thought both Chinatown and Disneyland were perfect places to take Diana-esque shots! I was amazed by many small coincidences and happy accidents on this roll; one specific instance being where we took a simultaneous shot of toys which makes it look as though hers and mine are waltzing across to frames of film. I think Diana and my styles are very similar—we both adore cross processing our slide film and we both look for quirky and mundane objects to shoot; therefore, she was the perfect partner for this collaboration.
As we like to joke, this was our baby nine months in the making. What a lovely little babe it is! :)
