  Looking Glass Photo of Berkeley, California has always been the spot to head when in the Bay Area looking for all things photographic. Hosting classes such as Pinhole Photography, this is one analog destination not to be missed. The staff consists of primarily photographers, giving you a chance to geek out and open up a dialogue on shutter speeds, aperture, film speed, and anything else a shutterbug can dream of. We caught up with owner Jen to find out more about the store, the Bay Area, and life behind the lens.

  An earthquake-like shock shook our headquarters this week. While evaluating the grand analogue survey feedback we had to swallow the fact that the majority of Lomographers believe that – the future is digital. The shock! The Horror! We were ready to throw everything out of the window; cancel Photokina, abandon camera production and start producing microchips for digital air-conditioning systems. But alas! Just seconds before our fingers touched the “Off” switch we discovered the very same sample of people actually believe that the most essential things in life remain analogue! Life, love, fun, sex, beauty, creativity were voted by a huge percentage to be definitively analogue.“

  Hello Analog is a showcase of lo-fi images and videos, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The website is updated almost-daily with radiantly colored images and moody-looking monochromes, taken with – you guessed it – film, of course! Even the videos that they made were Lomo-inspired. Check it out for a regular dose of analog!
