Last (but certainly not least) of our Lomo “Intern” Amigos is Alexandra Ion. Alexandra interned for the Vienna office over the summer. Alexandra is an Austrian girl born in Romania. Her family moved to Austria when she was 4 years old and now she is studying Mediatechnology and design at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg, Upper Austria. This has been quite a week for Lomo “Music” Amigos, as you have seen our stable of incredible musical friends grow and grow. And there are many more cool bands signed up to shoot their adventures in the future, but we’ll keep you in suspense for now.

Tahiti 80 got their start in the mid-90’s somewhere between Rouen and Paris, drawing their name from a souvenir T-shirt slogan. After a few teeth-cutting EP’s they released Puzzle in 1999, followed by Wallpaper for the Soul in 2002 and Fosbury in 2005. Their latest effort, Activity Center,shows them going back to the roots of classic pop songwriting with a rougher sound. Tahiti 80’s new album will be out by the end of 2008.

Josh Chen (aka saviorjosh) is a full-time translator/interpreter by day and a passionate Lomographer by night. His love affair with Lomography began four years ago, and since then he has built a spectacular body of work. When it comes to capturing bold color-dripping imagery with an LC-A+ – from bullfighting arenas to modern cityscapes – there is no one more prolific than the one and only saviorjosh.

A Marketing Planner from a satellite town of Taipei, Taiwan, Bruce Lee (aka Jeansman) owns almost every Lomographic camera, but pledges deep and undying love for his LCA+. Never without an LC-A+ in hand, Jeansman shoots the small town where he lives, a town he says is full of love & life, and that he never grows tired of capturing on film. Jeansman is a witness, a documentarian, and most of all, a true Lomographer.

John Vanderslice is an experimental indie pop singer/songwriter from the San Francisco area. Known as a literate, ever-curious songwriter and sonic technician, Vanderslice has released several character driven concept albums over the past few years, his latest the 2007 release Emerald City. Vanderslice also started Tiny Telephone, a small recording studio, in 1997. Boasting a variety of respected and experienced house engineers, Tiny Telephone gained a reputation as an affordable recording outlet for San Francisco’s indie rock community.
