Tags: b&w, london, Museums, People, and ArcitectureThis is a really nice spot in London. There are lovely buildings and great views of the whole of London if you walk to the observatory. There are also museums to keep you entertained to! Because of this there are lots of tourists which is good for candid shots and there are pretty good shops and facilities. It is really easy to get to either by train, bus or even the river!

Portobello Road: A lovely lunch time walk
United Kingdom, London, Notting Hill

Tags: drink, food, and shopsI work near notting hill. I work in an office. I work at a desk, looking at a screen…...all day. It’s as exciting as it sounds. To ease the pain of monotony i go for little walks in various directions. Today it was glorious Portabello Road. The area is rammed full of funky second hand shops, antiques and assorted bric-a-brac. It also has the usual cheap shops full of high prices just for the tourists.

Kensington Gardens

Tags: leisure and parkWhen in London, Kensington Gardens is the ideal place for a Sunday morning stroll in the company of a loved one and a hot cup of coffee. But beware! The park may not be the most visited one in London, but it’s still full of life. Pigeons are swooshing over you, swans are squeaking at you and millions of tiny little dogs are snapping at your heels. The human visitors may be few, but the animals who visit and live there are far more. Needless to say, the place is teeming with great photo-ops, just wait for a little dog or a swarm of pigeons and snap away!

Tags: danceQuite amazing, sliding up and down a post is a major fitness trend in Australia, UK and the US. Despite the fact, that the girls doing it with clothes on and not in a night club, the whole thing is still very sexy. But that is the idea: Bringing fitness and fun together. In London the whole movement was started around five years ago by a tv-journalist called Alison Hudd. With her Pole People she created a trend and is now coaching 300 gals a week. There are about 50 companies in London now who give courses and they are always looking for good lectures. the exercises are quite demanding. You have to pull yourself up the pole and try to do all the moves in the most elegant way. Everybody could do it and there have been 65 year old grannies been in the club as well as man. Probably he only came to watch the girls ;)

Tags: history and cultureI ride through there sometimes and even more occasionally I stop and take some pretty pics. I imagine it’s especially nice in or after the rain becuase the the ground would be really shiny and all the lights would make pretty shadows and reflections and people would have umbrellas and they always look cool. Another great thing about it is as it’s a big London landmark or whatever; they like to hold protests and function type things there, like on November 11th they have all the memorial stuff there so you take awesome pics of veterans and flags and people. Then after an exhausting Lomo shooting spree you could retire for a look around the National Portrait Gallery and get all inspired to run back outside and start shooting more people.
